What the patient came in with:
This patient had a pair of teeth missing genetically in the front of her mouth so that the pointed eye-teeth (the canines) were right next to the midline teeth. Moreover, the teeth were chipped, irregularly placed and very dark.

What we did:
We reshaped the eye-teeth, made them considerably less prominent and pointed, to make them resemble the laterals that are normally next to the midline teeth. The premolars (that are behind the eye-teeth) were reshaped to resemble eye-teeth.

Finally, we put porcelain veneers on the front six teeth that changed the patients entire smile and also resulted in increased self-confidence and improved professional success.

Dental Bonding

By using dental composite resin bonding,  we can restore chipped or broken teeth, fill in gaps and reshape or recolor your smile

Bonding is a composite resin filling placed in the back teeth as well as the front teeth. Composites are the solution for restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic improvements and even changing the color of your teeth or reshaping the teeth. Bonding will mask any stains you may have, close up minor gaps and can be used to correct crooked teeth. Basically, bonding will cover any natural flaws by applying a thin coating of a plastic material on the front surface of your teeth. The traditional silver fillings last about seven years;  bonded composites should last about seven to eleven years.

Contouring & Reshaping

For individuals who have chipped, cracked or irregularly shaped teeth, dental contouring and reshaping can be just the ticket for a more beautiful smile.
If you want your teeth to appear less crowded,  have decreased overlaps or  be without pits or grooves in the enamel,  with a little dental contouring, you can make a huge difference in the way you feel about your smile. Good cosmetic dentistry can give you a smile that is the envy of others. It should be noted that tooth contouring by a cosmetic dentist does require that you have normal, healthy teeth.
Tooth reshaping  is a safe and conservative way to improve your smile. However, teeth may become weaker if large amounts of enamel are removed. Therefore, tooth reshaping should be limited to minor changes or combined with veneers or bonding for the best smile.

Chipped, crooked or oddly-shaped teeth can be corrected with
Porcelain Veneers, Cosmetic Tooth Bonding or Teeth Reshaping

One of the easiest ways to treat teeth that are too small, too big or have uneven surfaces is by placing veneers over the tooth or teeth. It is very common for people to have imperfect teeth, either oddly shaped teeth, chipped teeth, crooked teeth, teeth with small holes in them, or an inappropriate sized tooth or teeth that have an odd appearance.  Veneers, porcelain or plastic, are placed over the front teeth to change the color and shape of the teeth. Veneers solve such irregularities and create a durable and pleasing smile.

What are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain facings that are fabricated in the lab. on a model of your teeth and are then bonded onto your teeth in our office. Though your own teeth may be chipped, irregularly shaped, placed out of proper line and position, have spaces, be discolored, have discolored and defective enamel and fillings, with porcelain veneers we can line them up perfectly and improve the shape, size and shade of the teeth to give you a smile that you will be proud of flaunting in front of everybody.

In order to make the porcelain veneers in the lab. we take an impression (mould) of your teeth after we have made slight modifacations and improvements to your own natural teeth. These changes can usually be done without any anesthesia. In fact, we can usually do the entire process of getting you a better smile without any needles.
